Recurring transactions, subcategories, and multiple ledgers look like the real spine here. That setup fits a hands-on budgeting tool where you enter and review things deliberately, not something that fades into the background. I'd want the walkthrough to show ledgers, budgets, and forecasts together in one sample month.
