Understand the signals.
Every trust signal should tell you exactly what was checked.
Creator verified
An account completed an ownership check for the product. Publicly displaying a creator’s identity is a separate choice.
Domain verified
The creator demonstrated control of the product’s website through DNS, a website meta tag, or an email at the product domain.
GitHub verified
The creator controls a repository whose linked homepage corresponds to the product. Connecting a GitHub account alone does not verify product ownership.
Community ratings
Accepted reviews contribute ratings for Product, Design & Polish, and Performance. Review confidence and conflicts can affect their weight. A minimum wait before reviewing discourages low-effort submissions, but does not prove usage.
Imported popularity
Votes and comments from external sources are attributed to those sources. They do not become ShipDeck star ratings.
What verification does not mean
Ownership verification is not a security audit, a guarantee of reliability, or an endorsement of a product’s claims. Automated security assessments and verified-use signals are not currently offered.
