ContextDebt is a free open-source tool that scans JavaScript, TypeScript, WordPress/PHP, and Python repositories to detect self-admitted workarounds and expired code references based on comments and issue trackers, helping developers identify code that may no longer be necessary or relevant. It runs fully locally except for optional GitHub API lookups and outputs detailed reports on code whose underlying reasons have expired.
