interesting because it aims at the annoying in between work of writing back in place, not at making you open yet another assistant window. the tradeoff is obvious too: reading enough context to be helpful can feel a bit spooky even if you still keep the final send button.

Ghostwriter is a Windows application that reads the screen context around your cursor and generates text suggestions in your voice to write replies, continue sentences, or compose messages directly at your cursor. It runs locally, never sending your data without your permission, and integrates with apps like mail clients, browsers, and Slack. It works offline with optional cloud AI for writing and ensures privacy by processing data on your PC.
