I especially like the “camera-only / live from the place” constraint, because it pushes the product toward current, authentic context rather than recycled content. The layer/community model also seems useful for separating different local interests without making the map feel like one noisy global feed.

Hereabout is a social network app for iOS and Android that connects users through real-time photo, video, livestream, and event posts directly tied to geographic locations on a map. It emphasizes authentic, unedited content captured live from the camera, allowing users to explore and subscribe to different community layers based on location and interest.
Ratings & Reviews
Write a reviewI think the concept is super cool. It might need a little bit of UI polish and tweaks to performance, but otherwise I think it's a great app.
Posts pinned to the actual spot make more sense than a generic feed when you want to check a concert, protest, or street fair. Camera only capture is a sharp constraint that pushes things toward what's happening now. I'm curious how the map handles a crowded block with lots of posts at once.
