Hop

Hop is a project session manager designed for developers using the Sway window manager and Kitty terminal emulator. It creates dedicated sessions per project, each with its own Sway workspace containing terminals, an editor, and browser windows. Unlike traditional terminal multiplexers, Hop delegates window management to the system window manager, enabling native GUI and terminal integration without loss of features. It supports session lifecycle management, pluggable backends including Docker and remote SSH, session layouts, and scripting through CLI commands for seamless developer workflows.
