Lacquer

Lacquer is an iOS app that verifies the authenticity of high-resolution lossless audio files by analyzing their true audio content on-device. It detects upscaled or misrepresented FLAC files by examining the audio spectrum without relying on metadata, providing detailed quality checks and evidence. The app also functions as a lossless audio player supporting FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, MP3, and AAC with features like gapless playback, crossfade, and a 10-band equalizer. Lacquer respects user privacy by performing all processing locally with no account or uploads.
