Murmur

Murmur is a small, open-source macOS menu bar app that enables push-to-talk voice dictation in any application using your own OpenAI API key for speech-to-text transcription. It works anywhere text input is possible, including terminals and apps like VS Code and Slack. It offers multiple modes for text rewriting, supports multiple languages with automatic detection, and shows usage costs based on OpenAI billing. It requires macOS Sonoma or later and is built from source.
