Pawl is a Python-based plugin set that enables deterministic gatekeeping for AI agents like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Antigravity. It intercepts and evaluates tool calls made by AI coding agents, blocking or requesting human approval for unsafe or destructive commands such as data deletion, unauthorized writes, or unsafe installs. This helps maintain safety and integrity in automated coding workflows by enforcing rules through code rather than prompt instructions.
