Reader

Reader is an open-source, native macOS application that integrates AI functionality for reading and annotating PDF, EPUB, and TXT files. It features highlights, notes, inline rewriting, AI chat about the book, browsing panes, and local-first storage that works without cloud dependencies. It supports a private cloud backend for syncing and advanced AI features. The application is built with SwiftUI and targets macOS 15 and later.
