Recast

Recast is a Smalltalk-based tool that integrates a large language model (LLM) into a running application to automatically detect, propose, verify, and apply code repairs at runtime without rebuild or restart. It captures errors with context, sends them to an LLM for repair proposals, tests fixes in a separate VM, and hot-swaps code in the live image once verified. It is designed as an experiment in autonomous software maintenance.
