Browser seats fit local multiplayer nicely here. One browser can claim several gamepads, which makes more sense for Mario Kart than forcing one player per device. The hardware path is still pretty involved, so I'd want a single quickstart that combines wiring, Pico flashing, and capture setup.

s2pipe is an open-source software that enables self-hosted cloud gaming for the Nintendo Switch 2 by streaming the console's output over WebRTC to browsers on a local area network. It supports up to eight gamepads connected via a Raspberry Pico acting as USB pads to the Switch. The solution includes components for capture, streaming, input device emulation, and a browser-based user interface. The software runs on Windows and Linux and requires specific hardware for full functionality.
