SOMA

SOMA is a desktop application that enables makers and tinkerers to design parametric 3D CAD models using Python and CadQuery. It integrates with external AI coding agents that write and modify the model code based on user interaction and instructions. Users can visualize, measure, sketch, and iterate the designs, then export common 3D model formats for 3D printing or CNC. The app supports advanced features like version history, parameter sliders, finite element analysis, animations, and technical drawing exports. It is open source under GPL-3.0 and available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
