Spotlight Off

Spotlight Off is a macOS utility that automatically disables Spotlight indexing on external drives the moment they are connected. It runs quietly in the menu bar, preventing unnecessary disk space and I/O consumption by disabling Spotlight indexing for external drives without user prompts. The app supports APFS, HFS+, and exFAT volumes, cleans up old Spotlight index files and clutter, and provides detailed activity logs and notifications.
