Squint is a desktop app for Windows and Linux that lets users select any area on their screen and instantly receive AI-generated explanations or answers about it. Activated by a hotkey, it freezes the screen to capture a selection and displays streamed AI responses in a panel next to the selection without needing to switch apps or manually describe the content. It supports follow-up questions, multiple capture regions, rich text formatting, themes, and local chat history.
