Stepgate is an MCP server that enforces step-by-step execution of procedures defined as YAML stepfiles for AI agents, ensuring agents cannot skip steps by gating each step with mechanical checks. It integrates with clients and runs on the client's own AI model, allowing for repeatable, enforceable workflows with API calls and validations, without deploying code or requiring model keys.
