Unterm

Unterm is a free, open-source, local-first terminal application built in Rust that allows AI agents to drive it externally over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It offers 151 authenticated methods to control terminal actions programmatically. Features include an Agent Cockpit to see and manage AI agents inside terminal panes, an Inbox for pending agent prompts, support for running fleets of agents in isolated git worktrees, diff review and rollback mechanisms for changes they produce, and easy one-click updates. It runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows with no cloud dependencies, providing a secure environment for developer workflows integrating AI assistance.
