VeriQuote is an open-source TypeScript library and CLI tool that verifies whether quotes attributed to sources by language models are actually present in those sources and whether they support the claims made. It uses a deterministic matcher to check quote presence and an LLM judge to assess support of the claim, providing a dual verification approach to reduce hallucinations in AI citations. The tool runs in the browser and integrates with OpenAI-compatible endpoints.
