very pointed little filter. the tradeoff is obvious: it is only as good as YouTube's labeling, but that narrow scope also keeps it honest about what it can and cannot catch.

Weedout is a Safari extension for macOS that automatically filters out YouTube videos labeled by YouTube as “Made with AI” from your feed, search results, related videos, playlists, and Shorts. It offers features such as optional auto-skip for AI-labeled Shorts, a dim mode to verify filtered videos, operates locally without accounts or tracking, and relies solely on YouTube's own labeling without heuristics. It is available as a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store.
