Whale and Dolphin Orchestra

Whale and Dolphin Orchestra is a digital prototype that transforms open research collections of whale and dolphin underwater recordings into generative music. Users select marine mammal phrases from an interactive map to create musical compositions guided by measured rhythms and pitch contours from the original animal sounds. The project merges scientific acoustic analysis with AI music generation models, providing an immersive listening experience and explores artistic presentations including digital jewellery.
