Serein

Serein is an open-source, lightweight Discord desktop client built entirely in Rust with a native UI using egui and wgpu. It offers rich chat features, native voice and video calls with screen sharing, server administration tools, extensions, and profile customization—all while consuming significantly less RAM and CPU compared to the official Electron Discord client. It connects directly to Discord's public API without using Electron or web runtime overhead.
